I know I've posted before about the E-CAM, in fact I think I've put so many post on here in regards to that, that I'm actually thinking about changing my screen name to E-CAM...but anyway. I've got computer recommendations, chip recommendations, etc. all which I'm sure would fix the problem, but I never asked the simple question...how many of you guys are running that cam, and what should my timing be set at???? It's just rough below 2000rpm and bucking a little bit, but I know that timing makes a hell of a difference, thanks

I ran the e-cam for a long time and had all the idle issues that sometimes come with it. I tried all kinds of ways to fix it and ended up going with a custom chip and that cleared it right up. Now my brother ran the cam in his car and never had a minutes trouble out of it. So it's really a hit or miss thing. As far a timing goes I usually ran about 12deg with no problems.

with 12 degrees were you running 93 octane? I got a new FRPP crate engine with the E CAM and GT40XP heads, it runs like all hell broke loose just have those minor tweaks below 2grand, I'll try to advance it and see, thanks

I run an "E" grind cam w/ 14* base timing (36tt) and a custom chip. IMO, for those with custom chips and still having idling problems, it's most likely a vacuum issue. I suggest running a minimum of 91 octane.
