Well, I have decided to go with heads, cam and intake over the winter. I want the Edelbrock Performer Heads( http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&part=EDL-60329), and the Edelbrock Performer RPM II Intake. What cam should I go with, what other parts will I need. Im am new to all of this. Do i need new rockers, I know I want to go to #24 Injectors. Someone who has done this please list everything I will need to buy to complete a H/C/I swap. Thanks

custom grind cam of your choice.

get some tuning of some sort... you will need it

you will need....
3.90 or 4.10 gears...dont argue
maf
TB
AFPR
pullies
TIRES-- drag radials or better yet slicks

I think the RPM II is a little big for a 302. I have the RPM and i think its about as big as you might want to go. My Crane 2031 Cam has been good so far, car runs strong and idles great with no tuning what so ever. Yeah you will definatly want gears, if you dont have them.

I got them from summit. But i saw an add in one of my mustang mags, that some place in florida had them for $999 a pair. Then i had summit price match that, So i got them for 999 and with free shipping. :D

An rpm2 is NOT to "big" for a 302. Cam it right and thats all it takes to work. Its is too much if your gonna run a junk cam like a e/b cam its NOT too much for a properly designed custom. My friend is making awesome power with his new edelbrocks and a TFS street intake.

rpm II is a great intake... rival of the holley

dont throw a junk off the shelf crane or ford racing trick flow cam in the mix. make sure you get a good cam that utilizes where the rpm II shines
above 5K - 6500

of course your working under the stock limiter of 6250

I agree.

You can also find Trick Flow twisted wedge heads for ~$950 once in awhile. Also, if you trust other people there are always good used heads with port work on E-Bay or the Corral for around $900-1000.

how come your running 1.6 rollers????

the cam was designed for 1.7's and i'm sure that of edelbrock heads flow up to .500 lift so you'll definetly gain some power.
