I tried a search with no luck. When installing, what type of hose can I use to connect the smog pump pipe to the cats? Probably a dumb question but it gets hot down there and just was wondering what could handle the heat.

I used heater hose, it was only temporary, but it lasted almost 500 miles without showing any signs of melting or wear.

You can also go to your local hardware store and pick up some flexible copper hose like they use on some home water heaters. I've seen this done twice and to my knowledge they are still on the cars. You'll need to get some strong clamps from an exhaust shop or parts store that are strong enough to 'clamp down' the copper to make the seal.

Go to an exhaust shop and just have them make you one. Probably cheaper and will fit perfecty.

Heater hose. I just did it some couple thousand miles ago and its still going. Thats pretty much the common thing to do.

I agree. I've used it on my cars and truck with no problems.
