I am trying to figure out what everyone else thinks because I am getting conflicting ideas. I have a loud lifter tap and I am planing on buying a crower cam and lifter setup along with the rocker arms coming up. However, I just bought the gaskets for the valve covers and the intake so that I could take it apart to see what is wrong. Heres the question: Should I wait until I have parts in the next month or so to tear down the top end or should I go ahead and take it apart now to see whats wrong and then order parts? Oh yeah its my daily driver and I need it for work.

I would prolly find out whats wrong now cause not knowing whats wrong it could lead to potential devistating to your engine. Buy your self some rubber valve cover gaskets (reusable and last a long time) and intake gaskets arent expensive anyway....,but anyway check it out before something bad MIGHT happen. IMO if it wasnt your DD you could wait but with it being your DD you dont want nothing catastrophic happening to your engine:nice:
