B&M Super Cooler. Keeps the tranny around 120 when it ran around 180 with the stock cooler in the radiator.

John, did you cut the radiator support there open for the cooler?

I think I'm going to go with this cooler from Earl's. It is a plate-type, compact, and I think the 4"x9"x2" thick core will be plenty for street use in this car. It's got to be at least as functional as the air/water type I removed from the engine. It also uses -10AN fittings which what I have on the rest of the oil system (remote filter).

Reenmachine, can you tell me where did you place that cooler?
I got the same, but can't see where to put it.

thanks

I'm planning on mounting it horizontally in front of the bottom part of the radiator & condenser, behind the hood latch support, mounted to the structure under the core support. This will require some modification of the lower portion of the hood latch support, but will put the cooler right in the lower opening of the Shelby nose.

I'll post pics as soon as I mount it.

Here's how it turned out. I ended up mounting it in front of the hood latch support on a couple of brackets I made that extend outward from the crossmember under the core support. The lines both go to the driver's side and are hidden behind the nose support (this is a Shelby clone) where they pass through the core support to the engine and the remote filter.
