Im gonna run someone soon and i want to know what all of you guys with

AFR165s, TFS1 cams and 3924 autolites run for timing.

I run 14 degrees on 93 octane, My shop says i can run more with np if i want to.

Before the heads i ran like 17 degrees on 93.

BTW the heads are the 58cc. so CR is like 9.7:1.

What do the experienced ones say?

Yeah 16-18* may work out good. Its not a matter of the most you can run, its what your engine likes best. 58cc head, stock pistons, you are maybe 9.3:1 compression fyi. You can probably get away with 89 octane as well.

Thanks for the info guys.

Also one more thing, The guy at the dyno adjusted my fuel pressure and timing a certain way that it would make the power it makes now. If i bump up the timing will that mess up the entire tune he did for me?

Also, i thought that 58cc heads bring it up to like 9.6:1... i think i read on the AFR website, not sure. Plus i have a lot of carbon buildup so that should add a 10th.

What do you guys say?
