First off, its a 66 289 block.
I am in the process of installing GT40p heads, and an edelbrock performer rpm cam. The GT40p heads came with a set of performance valve springs on them, Dual with an inner and outer spring. The cam says that the warranty will be void if I use dual valve springs, and that I should use the edelbrock brand Shure-seat springs.
First question
Can I run dual springs with the edelbrock cam, or even with the stock cam for now safely
Second question
Do I need to use permatex on headgaskets?
Third question
Why the hell are the manifold studs at the Y-pipe so hard to get off
I broke one off in the manifold, the other 3 came out just barely.
