helmet needed?

Question? I have a 2005 with a manual, 3:55s, 245/40/19 front, 275/35/19 rear, c&l street intake with brenspeed sct tune and I was wondering if I would be faster than a 13.99. At my local track I have to have a helmet if I am faster.

You should and yes get a helmet it opens up a world of motorsports.

I got my Zamp closed face SA approved for 199.99 cheap...

Open faced helmets are even cheaper.

Yep. My open faced Zamp was about $70. You definitely should get one. It sucks to get one run in and be told you can't race again till you get a helmet. Some tracks rent them, but might as well just pick one up.

Yeah, even if you don't race all the time. At least you don't have to wear a rental when you do go. They're usually pretty nasty. Just leave it in the trunk.

You'll need it. You should be mid 13's with that setup.

certain tracks may require the use of a helmet no matter what time your running.

i'm buying one off my brother that doesn't fit him anymore. i think its worth it to have even if you just go down twice a year.

that has to be an old SA standard or MA or a used one because that's a steal!

It depends on who is policing the rules at the track to whether or not you need one. I'd always wear one anyhow due to the relatively low cost and potential safety increase if you should need it I use my Scorpion full face motorcycle helmet that I've had for a few years.
