Howdy from the classic forums -- I need some suggestions. The guy in the shop next to mine has an '04 GT that he wants me to do the "basic" upgrades to (meaning relatively cheap and relatively effective). I've searched around here and have a pretty good idea what to do, but let me know what you think.

The car only has like 20k on it, and is still under warranty.

Please suggest specific brands (and why) if you can!

I'd probably go in this order without knowing any better:

- Eibach Pro-Kit to cure the 4x4 look, P/N 3510.140
- some CAI
- 70mm TB
- cat-back
- UD pulleys
- gears (3.73?)
- ???

Thanks in advance...

^^WOW that is crap...

MGW shifter
Catback (flowmaster or MAC for me personally)
O/r H pipe (nevermind, you are in CA!)
UD pullies (Steeda)
TB/Plenum (accufab, or C&L)
FRPP 4.10 gears w/ speedo correction
FRPP C springs (cheaper than the pro kit, and still works great)
Ford Mach 1 struts and shocks
Cobra brake upgrade?

Just some Ideas.... :)

I am very happy with my bolt on, and will be selling the Accufab plenum since the KB should be here tomorrow:) I have only had the Accufab on for about 400 miles.

Just to follow up, he chose the parts and here's what we did:

C&L upper intake
BBK 75mm TB
MAC CAI
Eibach Pro-Kit

He got some MAC pulleys we haven't installed yet, and he's getting an off-road H-pipe and full exhaust done at an exhaust shop. With the mods we did he said he could definitely feel power improvements via seat-of-the-pants and loved the springs. Totally fixed the 4x4 stance as well without slamming the car or sacrificing ride quality.

:nice: :nice: :nice:

Thanks for the help guys!:SNSign:

I just noticed this forum and got on it late, but those are great bolt ons and exactly what I did including the name of the brand, now, your next step is this...
Steeda bump steer kit
some type of x-pipe
Steeda timing adjuster
**the bump steer kit is more important than you might think after lowering the car. The roll center is now actually below grade level (in most cases) the bump steer kit along with the springs really made a huge difference in the handling.
