Help?? Couple of questions.....Friend Bought a Stang

Guys: Couple of questions..........My buddy just bought a 92 LX 5.0 Hatchback the other day......The guy he bought it off of said it was an original 5.0 car.......I dont think it is!!!!!!!! Is there a way to tell besides the VINS which are pretty easy to swap.........i noticed it had drum brakes in the rear......do they all come with that......and also when i lite the tires up I pulled a 1 legger.......Need your help guys........THANKS

They do all come with drums in the back unless it was a cobra or some other special featured cars but from ford standard gt and Lx 5.0 come with back drums. As far as the one wheel wonder problem it is possible this is normal. Only the GT models came with the two wheel road eater set up the Lx models only came with this set up when purchase with the police upgrade. So in your case it is most likely normal that only one side leaves face on the road.

I do know that if it was a four cylinder at one point and the guy you bought it from was a backyard builder you might want to check the transmission input shaft it is much smaller than the V8 version but can be used for a while before it shows wear and tear.

Also check the brake lines on a four cylinder the brake lines are on the passenger side on a V8 they are on the drivers side.

Deos it say how many cylinders on the registration? should be 8!
