Help identifying some heads...

I saw a post online and a guy is selling some heads that he states have been freshly rebuilt. He can't give any info on them and is unsure about anything, besides they are fresh and still in a bag. Nothing is bent and nothing has grooves or markings.

Here is a picture, but is there anyway I can help this guy give me an idea of what type of heads they are? He is only asking $50.
He said these are the only alpha/numerical markings he can find on it; tp3, t50, 0a24, wcp and they were rebuilt by Edelbrock.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

They look like stock e7 heads to me.

Do they say E7TE under neath where the rods pass through?

Unless your stock heads are in need of some serious rebuild...pass.

So what makes the guy think the heads were rebuilt by Edelbrock?

Those do look like stock heads to me. And I can see where the E7TE cast mark is, but can't make out what it actually says.

In my mind, I'm thinking someone bought a set of Edelbrock heads and took the stockers and put them in that box. They are cleaned up, but they still look like stockers to me

Unless he has paperwork showing a rebuild (which is prob new valve seals and maybe springs...big deal) im gonna go with my gut

That's a stock e7, and I am sure edelbrock didn't rebuild them since they do not do that service....I like the gray paint on the valve springs...lol They do not look fresh in anyway, at least not up to my standards.

I have some low mile stock heads if you need a set just pay shipping.

Pass on them.

I agree with the majority. Those are stock heads.

IMO, the only stock iron Ford heads worth owning are the GT40/GT40P castings...and even then, horsepower gains aren't going to blow your mind. You should be able to pick up a set of used GT40's in the $200-$400 range and will probably pick up a solid 20-25hp.

Gearbanger, that's what I plan on going with. Nothing to severe with the motor I have now. GT-40 heads and GT-40 Intake Manifold, and 1.6 RR's. I currently have an E303 cam, and its pretty much pointless with stock heads and IM, so I need to help her breathe a little more lol.

If you don't absolutely need to have the GT40 intake, pick yourself up an Explorer casting (from a 1996-early-'97). You'll make every bit as much power and save yourself about $150-$200.

Yeah, that was my plan. I have a buddy who works at LKQ who is looking for me. 96 to early 97 the best ones? I have done a ton of reading, and it seems no matter which one you go with, pre 96, 98+, you have to modify it in one way or another. The ACT will be moved into my intake piping. Any years where you don't have to plug or cap EGR holes?

Any year intake will work if you aren't running your EGR set up, but if you are, you'll want the '96-early-'97 models. They're designed with the internal EGR, just like your Mustang is. You will have to drill and tap the #5 runner for the ACT sensor, regardless of the year but otherwise it's a direct bolt on.

LKQ just bought out the UPull it by me and they doubled and tripled the prices on everything! They don't even have a price list so you can get three different prices depending on who you speak to. That being said, I recently swapped out the top end from a 96 explorer. Hot tanked, checked and cleaned up the heads, swapped out the springs, drilled and tapped the intake for the ACT and opened up the TB opening to 70MM. Polished it all up. I'd say with the headers , CAI, 70MM TB, and SN95 70mm MAF I added maybe 40-50 hp? Good enough for now and it is a def seat in the pants difference until I decide to throw a Vortech on it.
