Hi, I have just re-joined. I need advice or a reference to an engine rebuilder / specialist near NC. Local mechanic didn't diagnose too far, so I need a pro and cobra enthusiast. My junkyard offer was $1600 !! No way. Wouldn't crank for me 3 days ago and towed it in to local repair shop. Only thing I know at this point is 2 valves tested at 35-35 pressure. No major problems up to that point. Never wrecked, never dented, never raced, new clutch in 2011, 1 owner, 125k., all stock. I am not willing to give it up. Need advice for pro engine repair/rebuild please. Will park it until... Thanks!

We need more info here! What do you mean by "wouldn't crank for me"? Will the engine turn over and not start? Does "1 owner" mean you are the 1st owner or you bought the car from the original owner.
There's many many smart mechanics that monitor this board, some not so smart, but they all need more info, including me.
Junkyard offer?? Send me pictures and I might give you more than $1600.
