Hi Guys,

im not to sure which cam i should go with for my current engine build

heres what i got.

306 rebuilt short block (has f303 cam currently installed)

edelbrock performer heads 60399 w/ scorpion 1.6 rr

edelbrock super victor intake 8.2 deck height w

42lbs injectors with 90 mm

i am going to to put a vortech s-trim on aswell.

4:10 gears with 5 speed

I was thinking maybe tfs1 or is the f303 a good choice? any help would be apprictiated.

thank you

I would keep the f303 cam since you already have it. I'm running the stage 1 cam in my 306 motor... but when i was building my motor i didn't already have a cam for it but the stock cam so i went with the stage 1. The stage 1 cam is a good cam and makes pretty good power in mid range and top end.. but so does the f303 cam. I'm not a fan of ford racing cams but out of all of them the f303 cam is the best cam out of the ford cams . I would just keep the f-cam and save that money that you were going to spend on something else.

Out of those 2 the F303 is more boost freindly, otherwise a custom could be done for higher gains and drivabilty.

Id also suggest going to a different MAF, you'll run out of voltage fast with the Lighting meter and need a SCT MAFia to extend the range or play havoc with the tuning software (assuming you have it done with a chip).

The intake is a little much for that combo with such a small head IMO.
