87windsor, how bad of gas mileage do you even get?
i dont ever get above 13 or 14 around town in my 03 gt with 18s and a fairly stock car... .just throwin that out there.

I would do it just to have a newer car (hopefully, with less problems), but if you do have the money, i'd recommend something with the 4 valve in it

you can easily get 300+ hp na out of a 5.0...holley makes the systemax kit that gurantees 330hp na...and i believe thats a fairly mild kit for only 2500$...try getting that much power for that amount of money with a 4.6....

but realize that the kit is not a bolt on 300.. you need other pieces to compliment it and all the supporting to finish it off. You can take a stock top end on a 4.6 PI car and work it over like crazy and make over 300 with cams.. you hit the limit at mid 350s when it comes to driveability issues. A 5.0 requires smog/ac/steering pump deletes and aluminum (or atleast some windsor sr's), and aftermarket intake to get it close to 300.. people buy those kits all the time and don't touch the 300's.. i know because i used to be a BIG fox fanatic and i've had somewhere around 10-15 fox gt/lx/5.0 cars
