You should've kept the O/R. Trust me, it's not like everyone thinks. The chambers in the Flowmasters make is so that you don't get that popping sound. Now you will get that from straight thru mufflers, but the Flows are chambered. Bro, I have that set up and I know. I don't like all of that popping either. Take it from someone who knows how sounds, not from some people who think how it would sound...
And it's not obnoxious, hell I have a set of 3 year old twins that I pick up and ride around in. We were at the Drive-thru at McDonalds and I kind of horsed it up a bit under the overpass. The twins just smiled and said do it again.
The X gives you some raspiness and the Flows add that deep rumble to it.
