hey guys 2 q's here

(1) what does everyone most readily use to "tune" our cars?
my A/F is around 14-15 below 2700rpm and only then it lowers to 12-12.5 n no matter what i do it stays so lean down low. How can i fix this n have it stay 12ish thru the entire rpm range??? (FPressure is at 46 to even achieve these results)

(2) whats one of the cheaper chips? but i do want one that will also allow me to turn off the egr sensor, shift-retard and such...? what else do we "tune" in or out when getting a chip?
***im in NY n ill be looking for a good tuner soon! any suggestions?
and of course how much will this set me back in $$$?

thanks

Are you trying to tune it yourself , or do you just want a chip to go in your car ? , you want close to 14.7 at light cruise and at idle , and you want 13.0 when you go wide open throttle , so from the a/f numbers you listed, you probably arent too far off as it is

...oh
well i always hear how lean is aand that if you are not exactly in tune you'd rather be rich than lean

i'd like a chip burnt specifically to my application because im just about done modding the car as far as major performance. I got the heads and intake that work well together and a cam to support it all. I could have gotten a better cam but this one will do for quite some time so...
yea i'd like a custom chip burnt. Additionally i dont know how to tune if my life depended on it

so do you think u have something to help me out here?

thanks for the quick responses btw!

If you are just going to run what you have and arent going to put nitrous or anything crazy like that on it , just a single tune chip would be fine

as close to 14.7 as possible is idle mixture for light cruise and idle , and for max power at wide open you should be around 12.8-13.2 ..........13.0 is usually the number everybody shoots for , if you can get it close to that you will be fine ....

most stock tunes I have seen run 12.5-11.8 range at wide open , and usually 15.5-14.2 range at idle and cruise
