There‘s a lot of soot on the plugs after driving. I’ve shown pictures to several mechanics in our Mustang club, and they concur.Why do you think they are too cold?
I ask because 104’s are cold, they‘re heat range 2. That’s what’s called out for GT 40 heads though.If you’re fouling plugs with 104s, there’s likely something else wrong.
.054 is what’s called out for those plugs, but I can close them up. Voltage is 14 at both locations, I’m running a 130 volt alternator.What do you have them gapped at? Want to check and see if hotter plugs will help anything? Close up the gap in the plugs.
Also: Check coil saturation. What is your voltage going [into] the coil with the engine at idle? What is the voltage at the battery terminals at idle?
