How can I fit a 351w and Vic Jr intake under my 67 hood?

I have a 351w with 750 hollet, and want to run my vic jr intake.........I have a brand new 67 turn signal hood that has mega dollar paint on it.

I have a 1 1/2 " drop base air filter housing, and a 3" tall K&N filter.

Has anyone done it.if so how?????

Get some low profile engine mounts and see if it fits.

I dont know how you could fit anything more than a 302 under there as I have about 1" to spare.....maybe.

Take a look at the engine clearance chart in my signature. It's basically a database of what everyone has done to get their stuff to fit. I should have included in emails so people could ask questions. Might go back and modify it if people think it's worth it.

The TCP solid engine mounts will drop the engine approx one inch with should help you to close the hood. I put the stock engine mounts back on (did not like the vibration through the steering wheel) and I can close the hood without the air cleaner. I used the Edelbrock pro-flo, low profile air cleaner, but the filter element kept getting sucked into the carb.
