How did u guys mount your mech fuel gauge on cowl?

from the shuader valve, how did u get the line into the cowl area? Did u guys drill a hole in the firewall?

Also, $ is tight, so how would i go about mounting the fuel pressure gauge on the cowl? I don't want to buy the install kit, so could i buy a clamp at home depot or something?

When i tighten the line on the guage, the line does not lead directly down ward into the cowl, but is off to the side. Do i have to tighten it all the way, becuase i want the line leading down, but it will be loose than. The fitting is a 90* bend from the gauge.

i ran the line through the back of my cowl hood. I took a razor blade and cut some fuel line right down the center on one side of a piece thats about 5 inches long to put over my braided line to keep it from messing my hood up when i opened it. I then used two dry wall wing nuts to tighten it down on my cowl vent panel. I bought my gauge off my friend for $50 with a small bracket and a ring that fits around the outside of the gauge, is that what the install kit is?

Great Pics 90 notchback! That 90* bend from the gauge is similar to what i have. But when i tighten it all the way, its not directly down, its more to the left.

Do u think if i put enough thread sealer on the fitting, it wont leak if i have it a little loose. I'm pretty sure the fitting is npt not AN on the gauge?

Also, u connect the positve wire to the light switch and the ground to a body ground?

Thats nice, i might have to try that instead.
I dont have that 90* bend, i just ran the line straight into the back of it and down into my engine compartment through the back of my cowl hood as i said before. But i like that much better.

Some dick head messed mine up after i parked my car one night in downtown. I came back and found my guage ripped off and hanging over the corner of my fender and my fender was all tore up from him dragging the braided line back and fourth across my fender, made me mad because me and my friend Jason had just got done painting my car to, looked so nice, painted that Ford Royal Blue. It was some little ricer bastard i think. Little S.O.B, he revved up to me in his little CRX earlier and i ran his ass into the ground by like 9 car lengths ( I swear on my life) and i think he saw my car parked and did that to it.
