How good is Superchips?

So I managed to track down the previous owner of the car and he said he still had a superchips tuner that he never installed and said if I wanted to I could probably buy it off him since it's just lying around. I had always planned on getting a SCT tuner but if I could get the superchips for maybe hundred or more less, is it worth it? I never really researched superchips since I didn't consider getting one.

Car once I'm done performence wise is going to be just basic bolt ons, underdrive pulleys, exhaust, cai, 4:10 gears, short throw shifter and tuner.....

I'd spend the money on a custom tuned Xcal3 from a reputable tuner. Buy once.

If you/re even thinking about a dyno tune, talk to the tuner and see what hardware he works with.
