how much can a 302 take

hey i have a 90 GT with 60 k on the clock and with borla exaust,off road h pipe, shorty headers, moroso cold air, larger throttle body and mass air and 24 lb injectors and 373s, and i was wondering exactly how much abuse this motor can handle. by all mean i dont beat my car but every now and then i do get on it and luach the car hard and shift at 5500 and i was wondering if i was to get on it more can it handle it no problem. what i am tryin to say is can this motor handle a little abuse and hard driving?

The 5.0L engine is one of the most durable you will ever come across. If maintained properly, these motors last forever; literally. Plenty of people that have 100K+ engines are still putting small shots of nitrous through them at the track every weekend without issue. Yours is barely broke in an 60K, LOL.

yeah, 60k is nothing. mine has 194k and runs great. just to show how much abuse these things will take my buddy was at the track and sprayed nitrous real hard and it back fired pretty bad...blew his air filter off and cracked two cylinders....he thought it was a blown head gasket...he drove and hour and a half back to his house without so much as smoking.
