I am putting a 76 bronco 302 in my stang. I know its a early "smogger" 302 and it never made a buch or power, but it has been rebuilt (stock) with close chamber heads that have also been redone. I am putting a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on it with a Holley 600 cfm 4 barrel carb. I will soon after be getting a 600 street avenger.I will be using stock GT headers from a 5.0 car with a stock H-pipe that I gutted. I know that the stock headers arent very good at flowing but they were FREE and i'll get headers later when the budget allows. I am running stock ignition with a new ignition module. 8 MM Accell plug wires, an electric fan, a mechanical fuel pump(cam drag). What kind of numbers can I expect out of this motor as it is with these parts? The motor had a whopping 140 hp with the in stock form without a 4 barrel and aluminum intake, headers style manifolds and good exhaust, electric fan nice plug wires, etc. I know it wont make 300HP but am i gonna be close to 200+ hp with the intake and carb? I am not putting a bigger cam in it right now, it's not a roller and i'll have to use a mechanical flat tappet cam when i decide to get a larger one. Tell me what you think about it and please give me suggestions and ideas on how to get more power out of the motor WITHOUT pulling it out or tearing it open. Also i'll be running 40 series flowmasters behind the gutted H pipe. THANKS
