This winter i added a fiberglass hood, eliminated the A/C, and the Smog Pump, got an aluminum driveshaft, and removed the Dogbone. Just curious if anyone knows what this all would weigh?
How much weight did i loose???

A/C is about 35 pounds
dog bone is like 7
AL DS is 7 pounds
smog is like 6-7

you can take off the swaybar and the driving lights and all that they attach to for another 50 lbs.

Yes....people usually take the front sway bar for weight transfer issues, not just the weight of the sway bar. Taking corners can be very scary with no front sway bar.

Its another name for the weight that is bolted to the bottom of the differential....its there to dampen harmonic resonance from the stock gears.

The dogbone is designed to work with your stock d/s and stock gears, if you change your rear gears (which I hope you have) then isn't much more than a weight. I took mine off and didn't notice a difference in noise or anything.
Removal of the front swaybar really does help weight transfer, esp if you drive in the rain, at the track it helps also. Handling isn't really that effected, but steering responce is not as good. The stock rear suspension is so sloppy, removing the front swaybar actually balances it out, no more rear end kick out with the slightest corners.
Removal of the fog lights and that metal support is another big wieght loss thing, and removing weight from the worst place for weight to be. Moving the battery to the trunk is not a weight delete, but a 30lbs+ wieght transfer right where you need it.
Manual rack is supposed to be another 30lbs, A/C is at least 30lbs (condencer, compressor, ect), Kmember, coil overs... the list keeps going on. It's not too hard to get a foxbody into the 2800 or below weight catagory. I've scene many at 2600lbs with out being gutted. (interior, ect...)
