How warm should it run

The other day my 95 over heated and left me on the side of the road. Now my question is: Where should the needle rest when the car is all warmed up (ie, on the M, A, R on the stock gauge) I replaced my thermosate (I pput a 160 temp in) and the needle stoped at the A I didn't want to keep going in case it was not fixed now the only reason I ask is becasue wuth the old thermo (i dont know what temp it was) never went past the O i was just woundering if any one has any onfo

Don't take the stock gauge for being the truth. They are often wrong, and just used as a "dummy" gauge. If you truly want to know how hot your car is running, buy an Autometer temperature gauge.
