Yep, mosey on over to ebay. I got a very nice 5-piece carbide burr set on there about 2 years ago for under $20, and I used them to port a head, exhaust manifold, and upper & lower intakes and they're still in good shape.
BTW- if you don't have it, in my opinion, the Standard Abrasives porting kit that Summit sells is invaluable when it comes to porting heads. It has everything you need. You can do intakes and other stuff with it too.
Im porting with carbide bits now. I just wanted to know if im heading in the right direction. Do i need to remove more in the ports or should i leave what i have alone? I will have better pics today. Thanks guys
Porting is fun, but time consuming. especially on steel!
I ran into problems with the bit not being long enough to reach in there. I was doing a 2.8 v6 head though. when I get it running we will see how it works out. (fingers crossed). Next comes the 2.0 head. I gota do some serious studying of the books I got before I go at that one though.
I wish I had my own shop. sooo bad.
