i thought it was suppose to be a pain in the ass? damn no. i woke up at 9:50 am went outside after getting dressed around 10:20am then i just got back and its 11:08 and the quadrant is in. all i gotta do is put the seat back in and adjust the cable.

weird. people always saying it was a pain in the ass but it wasnt the only thing bad about it was i got few cuts on my knuckle and thats it. i didnt even get mad at this thing. owell

I dunno I thought the pedal swap was pretty straight forward . Never done it in a mark vii though.... I have been doins some evil thinking about putting a t5 in my crown vic beater using the ebrake pedal as a clutch pedal though lol. Damn would that be a riot. :rlaugh:

hahahaha. the only bitch is that darn adjusting the cable. i guess i havent adjusted it enough because when i press the clutch in and shift and start to let off the clutch about 2 1/2 inches from the floor the clutch engages. i dont like that but im tooooooooo hungry to go out and adjust it further...

Are you the guy with a pencil thin wrist with eyeballs on the ends of his visegrip fingers and is made out of rubber like Gumby? :rlaugh:

I had a really hard time getting the rachet pawl off the quadrant post, ended up drilling it off to break it into little pieces.

If you didn't get a firewall adjuster, then you get to do the tiresome process of crawling in & out from under the car to adjust the cable.

Hint: as the clutch wears, the cable will tighten up and cause the clutch to slip. Plan on having to adjust it again after some lead foot driving.

well trophy i had a problem like that but it was the mechanic telling me that. the reason why is the mechanic put the cable in instead of the cable and quadrant. the completely worn out quadrant couldnt take the pressure of the new cable so it snapped the quadrant and hence the grinding into gear but would never go into gear. you might have me mixed with some one else unless what i said sounds about right which i dont know.
