Yeah, they go out like that in bronco II's. But this was infact the problem, I'm all fixed up now. The check engine light is what let me know it wasn't just the tach. Plus this little beater runs even better now, even though I wouldn't have thought that possible for a 100k(m) car.

Its amazing how much better mine idles and how smooth it is again.

Yeah the idle was the biggest thing I noticed. And like, the smallest possible amount better pickup from stop that you could even notice.

I sure hope you put some dielectric grease on the back of the module when you replaced it ( it is a heatsink and needs a good contact ) or it will overheat and you will be replacing it again SOON !!!!!!
