So I spent my Friday at my parents house (70 miles away) working on my Dad's car.

Long story short, he restored it in 95, drove it about 500 miles (at best) between 96-01, then parked it cause it got a header leak. I drove it once when I was 16 and it was pretty scary (350hp and manual brakes, I was a kid). FF to last night. I put a new carb, fuel pump, cut new braided lines, fixed the kickdown cable, and did an initial tune on it. Got it running pretty good and drove it to the gas station to fill it up. Not as fast and scary anymore for some reason.

Anyhow, on my way home (@ 1am) I hit a bag of meat in my lane (used to be a mammal of some sort). I was stuck between a concrete wall and another car so I tried to straddle it as best I could. It was a pretty horrific noise. I have no idea what it was but it did this:

Stupid low hanging Hookers. Which lead to this:

I need a lift. No pics of the welding I did. Just imagine bird poo, and that is what it looks like. :nonono: It doesn't leak anymore though. Well, not on the passenger side at least.

I knew a guy in high school that had a Malibu like that. I was taking a college auto mechanics class my senior year of high school and this guy built his own engine from bare block to complete. That car was completely bad ass after that.
