Injector size

Im sure with all other ? out there this one has been beat to death but I've obtained some injectors from a 88 ford f-450 with a 460 in it and i was wondering how to tell what size they are? I read a thread in the past that said you could possibly find some 24# injectors in the 460 motors. If thats true than I may have stumbled upon some for free.

I beleive 460's did get 24's

Any part numbers or wording on the injector? What color are they?

Without the part number it's impossible to know what they are. My 5.0 has injectors that look like the black Cobras above but they never came in a Ford. Corvette as a matter of fact. SLP was clearing them out a few years ago. $99 for 8. I snapped a set up and put them on the shelf until I needed them.

The point is.... You never know what you're going to find when it comes to injectors.

yeah there are strange ones especially aftermarket. My 42's are black and silver, sold through Summit

I got my 24's off a Lincoln Mark 8.


I was at the boneyard today and saw 5 Mark 8's....all with the little blue injectors shining in the sun ripe for the picking.
