Got all my exhaust pieces... 2.5" catback with flows and bassani tails...

I don't want to weld the tailpipes to the mufflers, but they are identical diameters, can i get another piece of pipe to barely fit overtop of the outlet and tail pipe, and clamp them together? I don't mind welding the flow tubes to the mufflers, but dont want to weld the tailpipes.

you will proably have to take the tail pipes to a muffler shop and have them flare the ends were thy go into the muffler, then they will just slide on. Other wise i supose you could put something over them like you said, but the frist way would be better

Most parts places sell a little pipe expander that you insert and tighten up with a wrench that will expand a pipe enough to fit over another of the same od. Check out PepBoys/AutoZone and see. Otherwise, most muffler shops will probably slap them on their hydraulic stretcher for what I would guess would be $5 or $10. Be sure to take both pipes with you so they can test fit as they expand.
