So, finally I am doing it and I have decided, I am going the NA route. This is all seriousness haha, I need to know the perfect setup. I am getting heads, a good intake, and cams. I was wondering what heads would be the most perfect choice? PI Stage 2 ported and polished heads? Patriot Heads? Which ones? Throw some other good names out there. My goal is to makes 330-350 horsepower to the flywheel. Also intake wise, I was looking at the Bullitt Intake, or the typhoon intake. Let me know I need help, I can't decide myself!

Right now i am making a whopping 0hp and 0tq! My car is apart for the blower build up.

For maximum gain i'd suggest VT's stII heads and stII NA cams....you will be very happy with them.

MPH or MMR stage 2.5/2 heads, vt cams stage2/stage 1 if you need smog regs. and either bullitt intake (ported), or reichard racing.

and yes there is a difference in intake... the bullitt has a lot more power under the torque curve.. it nets like 2-5 more PEAK hp, but has a lot more that not shown by peak numbers. dont forget UD pullies and a good tune and long tubes/mid lengths, and x pipe... remember mufflers are just for sound, almost no gain from them. with the pi swap you should get around 320 to the ground going full bore... thats around 380 to the flywheel. you will be pleased.

Ok the ones I am going to go with are the stage 2 heads from MMR, I think I would be really pleased with them and 1400 is a good price. Ok, so where can I buy a ported bullitt intake from? Or do I have to have it done? Could MMR port it for me because most likely thats where I will buy it from. Also I want to get Stage 1 cams because I am not a big fan of the loopy idle. Also I will have to buy the twin 65mm throttle body right? 380 to the flywheel would be great! Ahh I just can't wait!

MPH stage 2.5 heads flow more then anyone elses heads. The quality is top notch. VT cams are great can't go wrong.

To check out some pics of the MPH heads check out my pics in my sig.

yes mmr can do the bullitt porting... think MPH can as well, and anyone can that has an extrude hone machine.

yes MPH does have the best flowing heads, but their costs are also one of the highest... worth it? maybe.

the stage 1s are fine... also comp cams are also fine (sold at mmr) just take your pick... just relise that you need a tune after its all done to make it run right.

you ironically have a better chance to make more power then the 99+ guys now honestly. because when going with the headswap you will slightly increase your compression. not much difference, but its there.

I will be able to comment on my setup sometime this week (Steeda is picking my stang up tomorrow to finish the install for me).

MPH, MMR, VT all have good reputations. Fox Lake heads are supposed to be quite good as well.

Good luck

One of the best N/A cams out there is the Crower Stg II PI SC cam, VT has recommended that cam over their Stg II N/A cam.

As for the heads, there is more to the heads than just flow numbers especially if you are staying N/A. Some heads are better than others because of how they are ported.

Patriot has done a wonderful job by me. They were fast helpful and I have had good reults with their heads.

I have stage 2 patriots with their stage 2 cams. I made 292 rwhp with no intake mods and a PCM that was faulty. I have not had it dyno'ed since the pcm was fixed, but it was pulling alot of timing so I am sure i got close to the 300 mark.

The main reason, I am doing N/A is because I am bored with my 98GT and I want to make power without boost. I want 350-380 horsepower just like I said.

MMR Stage 2 Heads - $1400
Ported Bullitt - Not Sure on Price(respond if u no $)
VT Stage 1 Cams - $650 - Stage 2's that much better?
Twin 65mm TB - $250
Long Tubes - $400
Off Road X-Pipe - $200
Tune - $125

Tell me if I am missing anything. I am doing everything right now, so you guys let me know...

I am saving my money to do all of this, and no debt, which=no credit card bills haha. I have quite a bit saved now, but should I buy the big stuff first or all the small stuff first?

I'd suggest the big stuff first. I know for me it's easier to come up with a few hundred at time vs. a grand or two.
If your positive you want to go the na route to big power I'd do the stg2's. esp since you'll already have the heads there to use them.

Ok so my roomate with the supercharger is trying to get me to buy a Kenne Bell and I will admit is very tempting because I love Kenne Bell's and a 9 or 12 PSI would be great. What kind of a power would i make with a 9PSI or 12 PSI Kenne Bell?

check their site just a note.. if your friends mustang is a 99+ he will still beat you. the KB is awesome.. however your heads are dog beaten... think why the 99+ has 40 more HP rating. then again, the power made with the stock heads and a KB might be enough for you... YMMV.

I'd definately do the stage 2's.. overall you don't gain a lot of hp over the stage 1's.. but i think the powerband pulls just a little further than the 1's and also the stage 2's will compliment your heads much better
