Only to clarify for my sake, are you still running the car with no vacuum source to the MAP sensor?
If you are, then stop and install the proper vacuum hose ASAP. The MAP sensor measures manifold vacuum to tell the computer how much load the engine is under. It's one of the primary inputs the computer uses to calculate the propper amount of fuel.
Basically, with no vacuum source, the computer thinks you are at WOT all the time. This will explain the black smoke you are seeing.
Get the proper hose, install it, and reset the computer. Then you can troubleshoot and solve any additional issues.
Edit: Just saw your last comment. Running a speed density car without the MAP will most definitely cause the engine to run very rich at all times, i.e. blackish/grey smoke. Get that MAP hooked up, take it for a spin, and I think you'll be very surprised.
