Interior Ideas

First off, I apologize if this thread should not be in tech. I think its kinda half n half.

I want to paint my bexels and trim. I have black on black leather.
1) Does anyone have any pic's besides the ones that are in the "How To" sticky?
2)Any ideas on a good contrasting color?

I want to either paint my dome light cover or get a colred bulb for it, or something to that affect (effect?...lol) Any ideas or comments?

Has anyone taken the slack out od their gas pedal on a and noticed a diff. during WOT?

I just found a website that sells colored bulbs for most interiors.

from what I can tell they dont carry the main dome bulb.

2) What color is your car? If it's like red (with the black interior) then red would be a good accent color to go with, unless you want the ricer look, then go primer gray, baby barf green, and cat piss yellow, lol.

My friend had a red dome light in his fox-body, and now in his 00 GT, I'll ask him where he got it.

I took the slack outta the gas pedal, and it certainly "felt" quicker. I say "felt", because it doesn't actually pull the throttle open more, just faster. But now I'm used to it. When you do this, you can run the risk of stretching the cable though, be careful.

Silver would be cool, white would work too. Just remember if you do gauges later, you might wanna pick a basic color (like silver or white) that way you can match your gauges too, that looks sweet.

Just make sure you don't stretch the cable too far. Maybe have a buddy hold the cable tight while you take out the slack so you don't take out to much. The way I did it was real easy. I just pulled up on the gas pedal (there's a bunch of space between where the pedal rests, and where it actually hits the cable bracket, look under the gas pedal and you'll see what I mean) and put a bunch of cable ties in between there. Then I just clipped off the ends of the cable ties so they were outta the way. Works great, and you don't have to disassemble anything. Plus, if you ever need to undo it, just grab some snips and snip the cable ties off. Good luck, lemme know if you need more help.

i took the slack out of the accelerator pedal in my 94 GT, the only reason i would suggest it if you check the throttle body blade and it doesn't open fully, you do run the risk of stretching the cable as said earlier

Yes, super gay, like tree hugging, rainbow sticker owning gay. I will die some day. Don't you worry.

There is an article in the Sticky at Mustangworld.com on how to reduce the slack by using a 1" plastic spacer. I am going to use a few diff sizes leading up to a 1" spacer. Hope fully that will reduce the risk of stretching. Thanks again.

The silver trim on a black interior looks real classy ..and if your car is black go with a blue light? I guess that means you can pick whatever color you want
