I got a 2001 V6 with Headman headders(stock one on the passenger side went out), Dual Flowmaster 40's K&N FIPK intake and a diablo tuner with the preprogram settings and 245/45/18 for wheels and I am getting about 15 in the city and 25 on the highways is that avg or should i be getting more from my car

That's what i was thinking that 15 is a little short becuase I've seen on the forums ppl getting 18/28 or maybe better for v6s now givin that I have 110,000 and maybe need a tune up but notice that for awhile now

Some things you can try:

Run a bottle of fuel system cleaner through the next time you fill up. A lot of times you'll get buildups on the valves and the pistons from cheap fuel.

Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Low tires can increase rolling resistance, especially with wide tires.

Check your alignment. A bad alignment will hurt your mileage- again the effect will be worse with wider non-stock tires.

Make sure your air filter is clean, your MAF sensor is clean, and your plugs are properly gapped.

I get from 24 to 27 MPG in mostly highway driving. Mostly driving like a grandma!

245/45/18 is the wrong size for tires is you have 18" wheels. You should have 245/40/18 to keep the speedo acurate.

You are actually traveling a little further than your odometer is indicating so your mileage figures should be slightly higher than what you are calculating.

at 60MPH, you are really going 62MPH. Might not seem like much, but do that over a tank of gas and it can lower your figures by 1-2 MPG

Yeah I am about to replace the tires they came with my rims but look so awful with the 45 also found out that my rear caliper is sticking when we were putting in the 4.10 and replaced that as well I think that was another factor for the bad milage.

actually I was getting those gas milages before hand but turned out it was everything I changed the plug, wires, coil pack, fuel filter and clean out the air filter and im still getting the same but like you said i got the 4.10 now and yes I love that gear it is so nice with the diablo tune when i wot it will spin the tires from 1st to 2nd:eek: very nice mod for 700
