is anyone running sn95 rearend under fox body

really need to know if there is a wheel fitment problem when using sn95 rear with 17x9 wheels

I use a 95 gt rear in my fox. Run 17x9 95r's no fitment issues at all. I would say your fine

I have that exact setup on my 89 GT Hatch.

They will fit, you just need to roll the rear fenders.

Im running 275/40 series tires on the car, check the garage for pics.

I did the swap several years ago, but I do believe that is correct.

I have a 95 rear end with sn95 wheels. I should have shortened the axles about .100" or so to help fender clearance with the 275s. I have a good .25" clearance with the quad shocks (yes they are still there). I did have to hammer the outer fender lips a bit. If the budget allows a Panhard bar will help keep the rear from sliding common to the body.

The swap does work. But I am not sure what I did will provide the best tire clearance with bigger tires.

Housings are the same from 86-98. Only the brakes are different and will interchange.

99-04 has a wider housing. Brake setup is the same but they also use longer axle shafts

thanks everybody who responded it reall helped alot.last question if i use 255 or 245 tires will it change the fender rolling issue or is that a given no matter what size tire i use?

With my setup I had to roll the rear fender when I had 255s. When I first did the swap I used 255s, then swapped to the 275s.

Plan on having to do it.

Any of you guys with the 95 rears have working parking brake? If so what cables are you using. I have a set in my car and they are too long by like 3" so it won't engage the parking brake.

ive been told its complicated but you have to use the entire setup including the inside parking brake handle from the sn95.im pickey about my car and dont want anything rigged so im planning on doing the swap.ill post how it goes.

For an 87-92 you'll need the following motorsport parts

Center e-brake cable m-2810-a

Rear ebrake cabeles m-2809-a X 2

For a '93, substitute the two rear cables for
93 Cobra e-brake cables.

The parking brake handle just needs a tiny spot weld to lock the adjustment pawl (which was used for the drums)

I have '96 GT rear end under my '93, im running the 17x8 2000 GT wheels with 245's and i have like 2" of clearance to the inner fender. I also have no e-brake, i prolly need to get that done, but all the money is going into the 408w swap.

Modified the handle today. I had no need to weld mine but I did mine a slightly different way to gain some adjustment and make up for the slack in the cable since my stock equalizer cable is non-adjustable. Not sure if it's possible to buy and adjuable equalizer by itself? Like that guy used. Just need to tweak a thing of two and I might have a working e-brake by tomorrow. Good info guys.
