Issues w/Cutting a 10" sub box to 12"

Hey guys I bought a dual 10" pro box for my lightning and ended up getting 2 12" type r subs so I was wondering: Will cutting the 10" box opens to fit the subs be OK? Each side of the box has an 11" by 11" inside and the sub is 11" wide. It would barely fit but it seems like the airspace should be ok. Do you think the performance of the subs will be hindered by the fact that the sides of the sub will almost touching the inside of the box? Any input is appreciated thanks

i think your airspace wont be enough.

i built custom boxes and no way will their be enough cubes for those sub's
