Just got my BBK o/r x. What Mufflers 2 get

Im getting my x pipe put on my 03 gt on saturday. Im thinking of gettin 2 chember 40flows put on. Anyone have any input?

I know everyone says it is raspy, can I get a lil better explanation of "raspy".

I have bbk shorty headers, bbk o/r x, and dual chamber flows on my 94 gt. It's not the best sound and has that annoying tone to it. If I were you I'd check out some magnaflows, heard a lot of good things about them.

Yes they are illegal, but the cops have bigger things in cali to worry about.

I.e. murder, gangs, drive bys, drug deals, illegals......

haha you say that now, but i will laugh when you get pulled over one day by some bored cop looking to make his quota.

i asked because i am an admitted newb to the whole modification area of owning a car and i inquired about an x-pipe at my local speed shop and was told that they wouldn't put one on because it was illegal

I just left my muffler shop today and he is going to do it for $100.
All you have to do is tell them you don't need a receipt, then no one could ever prove they did it. Then you put the money in their face and its installed.

Next time you come across a body of water toss that BBK X into it and watch it sink ... that's the best place for it. Running Flows with it will make it sound even worse. I think I saw maybe ONE person out of the thousands here that actually liked the sound of a BBK X with Flows. You better buy some straight through mufflers unless you think you might be lucky #2.

I agree O/R X + Flowmasters = game of kick the can. Sounds like a tin can with a rock in it getting kicked all over the place. LOL IMO
