Just ordered the MGW Shifter.

Follow the hyper link above to purchase one.

I installed it. Simply amazing. They should name it the T2. Talk about solid. Felt like I was shifting a race car. Going from gear to gear is very short and if its quiet you can hear it click into gear and into neutral and into the next gear. There is a little gear whine when decelerating at low RPM sometimes.

There is Zero play throughout its range. 1st,2nd,3rd & 4th are so close together that you just shift up and down with no side to side movement. I dont know if im not used to it yet or not but 5th gear almost seems like its a black sheep and off to the upper right compared to the tightness of the first four. Oh yeah and as I was banging through the gears at WOT I felt the shifter bottom out on the stops. :D

I think I will order up a Red handle as this blue one is pretty short and I like to ride gangstah...

The quality of this part makes me proud to be an American. :flag:

I did take some install pics and will post them tomorrow night.

Instructions were very exact and you really cant go wrong, I have never changed a shifter and found it easy to do with the instructions in my hand.
I had an extra two nuts with lock washers left over and dont know what those are for...into the nut box they went. haha

What Fast02 said was pretty much my reaction. Words can't describe how much better it is than a Pro 5.0 or Steeda.

With the Pro 5.0 I always felt the springs weren't stiff enough. I broke a shift fork in my tranny because of this. I pushed hard into 3rd, and it got caught halfway. Not the shifters fault, it was my fault for trusting it.

MGW's springs are progressive, and are MUCH stiffer. He tore apart 3 aftermarket shifters.....and made a shifter that excelled at everything. The construction is bar none, the shifts are shorter, TRULY shorter, and you have full 360 degrees of adjustment with the shifter handle.

Love it.

Ok, so let that be a lesson to you kids...dont forget the jam nuts on the stop bolts.

here are some pics I took. As you can see the stocker is indeed a POS.

here are some side by sides to compare, note the black cup still attached to the stock shift ball. You will need to use caution as you pry this off with a small flat blade screwdriver...its just plastic, mine popped right off with ease.
