alright, ive tapped the redline before but this time i wasnt really payin attention an i burried my tach to like 6900, i know i prolly didnt do anything but im just paranoid, nothing really sounds broken but just thought id throw this out there and make sure everything was ok with the car. i know theres no realy question, just lookin for some reassurance that i didnt break anything.

Assuming you did this using the stock tach, I bet you didn't even touch the factory programed cutoff of 6,250 RPM's... Your car is probably doing just fine after that stint of cleaning out carbon deposits in the combustion chambers.

wow ur tach is way off... yea you would hit the rev limiter so you must of just let off prior to hitting it which won't hurt you! i my self have only hit it once in my mustang... i usally shift at 5800rpms

I have only pushed my car past 4500 a few times.....a few times doing a little burnout I had it up around 6000 but never hit the cutoff....I just put a 5" tach in my car and my stock one is ballz on up untill 3500 than the stock one takes off a little higher than it actually rev's

Hm shift mine at 5700-5800, and it seems to like it.

Also I have launched my stock motor off the rev limiter countless times in a row, on hot and humid days, after a 3 hour drive to the track... I think your car revving to 6000 RPM is going to be alright!

Roofstrype, isn't your Fox newer? It should like the same medicine for combustion chamber cleaning

I don't have a Autometer Tach so I have no idea where I end up shifting at, but on the stocker it's 7,000 when I am not fast enough getting to the next gear....

Yea it's a 93 but I haven't driven a newer one like it enough to know when to shift just yet
