Thanks man. Im in the process of installing the Summit seats. I am modifying the stock seat brackets, so its taking some drilling and fitting. I got really super drunk at a wedding reception saturday night, and I havent done that since my bachelor party a couple years ago. This is the second day of the hangover, so hopefully tomorrow I will be back out in the garage to get those seats in.
I welded my round bar pieces up under the dash, and it is much more solid now thank God. The steering wheel no longer bounces when I hit bumps. I got them far enough under so that you dont really notice them without getting down a bit and looking. I mounted one of the Summit seats by modifying the stock seat track, but it wont slide back far enough so I ordered a set of Corbeau seat brackets that will work better. Thats why only one seat is installed so far. As we speak, the car is on stands in the garage and Im finally welding my MM full length subframe connectors on. I ran out of welding wire, so I have to hit up the local farm and fleet before I can finish the job. Nothing like teaching yourself to weld on your own car. Dont any of you guys go trying to look underneath until I get some of the welds grinded down a bit!
Looks great! I've been thinking of doing this for a while just never got around to it, but I don't think I could do without my precious armrest. I use it 100% of the time when not shifting. The seat looks great too. Just remember to go for comfort over style. A lot of seats 'look' great but never feel right. Those ones are comfy and keep you in one spot when getting aggressive in the car. The nitrous purge is an awesome idea, if you ever dedicate the car to just yourself I would remove the passenger seat and put the cans right there to not only show them off but the ease of access too. I just can't get over how amazing the shifter turned out. That has to be my favorite part. Looking forward to what you have next.
I installed both my Summit seats today with Corbeau seat brackets. The aftermarket seat brackets make the front lip of seat sit up a bit high (makes you feel like youre leaning back more), but all and all it works great. They slide nice and far back to give the passenger good leg room. I didnt have it all the way back when I took pictures. Here are a few updated shots. All I have left now is a steering wheel.
Help me pick a steering wheel fellas. I like this retro style, being that I removed my center console to go with the classic look...

But I have to keep the stock airbag with the FR500 wheel. I think it looks dumb as hell with a black wheel and grey airbag. Im thinking I will probably go with the retro style wheel, as it will probably fit the style of my interior the best. I think Tom (69clark) has the other Momo wheel, but his interior is much sportier than mine. I dont mind spending the money, cause I think it will bring the whole project together.

Sorry guys, I havent been on for here for a couple weeks. I bought the retro wheel. I'll go snap a couple pics of it and post them up since I failed to do that before. Be back in a bit.
Dont mind the missing door skins, I am doing a little project that has been put on hold due to the cold. Sorry that the interior is dirty too, I didnt get it cleaned up cause I had to drive the car daily while my truck was being fixed from being rear ended. All is good now though, and the stang never had to see snow thank God. Anyway, here are a couple pics of the wheel mounted with new interior. I will have even more in the spring once my doors are done.
You might notice I changed my shifter handle back to the regular B&M Pro Ripper. The UPR rock crushers kept coming loose since it didnt bolt up worth a damn. I got sick of it and kinda like the raw look I have now.

looks bad ass man. how are you adjusting to not having the armrest lol? how does the carpet match up under the dash where the console was?
I actually had to trim off excess carpet under the dash. I was very happy that it went up as far under as it did. I got used to no arm rest pretty quickly, but after driving my truck all winter and leaning on the center console in it Im sure I will have to get used to it again. For whatever reason I really like the muscle car feel right when I hop into it. It feels much more down to business. Once my black aluminum door skins are on, its going to feel even more that way. I couldnt stand how much my stock door skins started creaking.

You did an awesome job man, you got me contemplating whether or not I want a console! Lol where did you find aluminum door panels at?

Im sure it would be easy enough to get a pedal style off a late model vehicle and route the cable, but mounting the pedal might be a PITA.
I don't see the pedal mounted e brake being a reasonable mod. There is way too much crap stuffed up in that corner of the dash.
