Ok, like many, I've wondered if I needed them. Each time I see a post of a destroyed hood, cowl, and roof I get scared. The problem is how ugly hood pins are.
Looking for more of a discussion. When are hood pins needed?
Always? Even with a stock hood?
When you drive at the track?
When the safety latch is removed?
Myself I have the factory latch and the safety installed on a cirvinis Hood that is only street driven. Is a third catch really required?
