Lifter Preload?

I set my lifter preload a 1/4 turn on the polylocks. Now while driving and this is only at around 2000-2500 rpm, it sounds as it there is some valvetrain noise. Loud enough where I can hear it from inside the car. This could be an exhaust leak, I could be wrong, but will more preload, say 1/2 turn cure valvetrain noise?

The noise will occur under load while driving or if I just raise the rpm in nuetral.

comp cams instructions say that you need to set at 1/2 inch turn not 1/4. That being said i followed the instructions exactly and i still have some rocker noise i am going to do it again with another 1/4 turn.

I like to use a half of turn past 0-lash.

i like to use 1/4 turn because i feel the engine little faster and i dont care about little valve train noise

looks like you read the instructions. The other timg is you have to adjust the lash at different points for the intake and exhaust valves. here is the link to instructions.

you guys know what a lash loop is?

try one out, you might pick up some power (although it is more of a solid cam thing)
