I'm in the process of a long, drawn out, pain in the butt engine rebuild/transmission replacement.

I have all the accessories and electrical stuff out of the way, but I'm laboring to get the driveshaft bolts out...

ANYWAY, that's not what I'm posting about...

when I get to the point of having the tranny off the engine...will I HAVE to take the LT's off to lift the engine out w/ a hoist?

the LT's will have to come off.

it is SOOOO much easier to drop it from the bottom

yeah I'd like to drop it out the bottom, but I can't get thecar high enough for that...at least i don't think.

I read the thread about how to drop the K...like I said though even w/ it off I don't think I have room to pull the engine out

you can use a hoist woth dropping the K.. all you do is run a couple of eye bolts through your shock towers and hook chains on there (i would recomend you have a strut tower brace on).. ive done this 2 times and it seems to work good..

make sure you use BIG washers if not, a hole in a chunk of steel on the bottom side of the CC plates
