Theres a 02-04 GT that I see around town alot and when we see each other we nail it for a second to let each other hear our exhaust but we never really race. Anyway, I saw him just now when i was getting money out of the ATM. I got my cash and pulled out of the parking lot, he must have been waiting for me cause I caught up quick.

Now before I tell you about this guy, you need to know what his car looks like. Black '02-04 GT, 3 in cowl hood. 6-spoke 17x9 in black rims (claims they cost $1600 for just the rims), a big Cobra spoiler. But thats not bad, here is where it gets interesting. He had S281 side emblems, a Cobra front emblem, and on the back are a S281 and a Poilce Interceptor emblem. :rlaugh:

We pulled over in the McDonalds parking lot and I asked him what kind of exhaust he had cause it sounded GREAT. He said its a Borla with no cats. I asked him how it runs w/o cats and he said he took the oxygen "senders" off..... I asked him again just to be sure. Yep, he said oxygen senders. I just nodded, grinned, and said yep. These were his exact words. "I cut off my oxygen senders off so it frees up a little more power and my engine light dosent even come on."

:rlaugh:
I seriously almost started laughing in this guys face, but i didnt want to look like a dick. He has a VERY nice car, but he need to learn his ****. lol

He probably means he put O2 sims on, just didn't quite know what he was talking about, since he didn't do the work himself.
IDK, he didnt say he put anything on escept the exhaust. He said. he cut the oxygen senders off. he didnt say anything about replacing them, but youre right he prolly didnt do it himself.

I think you meant to say that he has a very nice car, OTHER than the fact that he needs to weld his oxygen senders back on.

I guess you could always suggest he change the blinker fluid or lube the muffler bearings to free up a few more ponies.

Don't forget about putting summer air in the tires, its a free mod that alot of people overlook. That and making sure the clutch disk is properly lubricated should shave a few 10ths off.

I dont have oxygen senders either - they dont do anything. The sensors on the other hand are quite important for A/F trim. :D

As everyone knows, the second set of O2s (OBD-II cars) is to monitor catalyst efficiency. THe MIL elim's shouldnt have freed up any power anyhow.

I gotta say that I dont like mod motors, but some sure take to a free flowing exhaust system - they have a burble-pitch that I dont hear on 5.0's.
