Since I've seen so many talk about stuff they lost recently I thought I'd point this idea out to those that might not have thought about it.

If you see a thread that you feel you want to keep you can use the thread tools to convert and then save the info in a .txt file on your hard drive. Since it is a .txt file it will be pretty small in size.

I usued to save threads all the time but you guys have now got me so educated that I rarely save them any more.

That's a good idea.

There's been at least a couple times where I have gotten information on how to install something and I ended up printing the information to use during the installation. Very helpful!

I think the last thing I printed out was about changing out my headlights. I found an older post that had good info and pics. Sure made the task easier than just looking at a couple pics from the Haynes manual.

I sorta do the same....I just copy/paste and drop it in a email addressed to myself...Have a folder of "write -ups" in my mailbox and stash em there...Comes in handy...

I do the same as Patrick.

Hmm, you got me thinking of good threads i would miss from here - I cant find the link I had saved to the thread you guys did about 'How to' links. you guys did a great job coming up with a couple pages of great info and links to info.
