Ok, Coming home tonight, goin about 15-20mph in 2nd gear, I hear a loud cla clunk from underneath my car. Initially I thought I ran over somthing, but I didnt see anything when I drove back around. Any of you guys have any opinions on anything mechanical it could be? Nothing seems to be broken or anything, at least not that I can tell lying on the ground.

Meow.... thud... whoops. :D

If you're really concerned, it's easy enough to check the major stuff. Put it up on stands (preferrably with the suspension uncompressed) and shake things to make sure they're tight. Check the driveshaft for excessive play, and make sure the bolts are tight. Check the transmission bolts. Stuff like that.

That should give you peace of mind that it's not going to come flying apart on you all of the sudden.

In my professional opinion, cats make more of a 'thud' than a 'clunk' sound! :rlaugh:

Sorry, I couldn't help myself, I've ran over three and every single one hit the x-brace on the bottom of my car.

Yea, I actually think it was a rabbit, I ran over one in my cougar and it made a real simaler sound.

Hit a squirel once...nice sound FX...lookied in the rear view mirror and saw him tumbleing down the road.

Hit a rabbit once, and it was wierd because he ran under the car, collided with the rear tire I think...which then threw him up into the gas tank which sounded AWESOME!!! :nice: :rlaugh: :bang:
