Hey guys, I just bought some springs...can I use Fox Struts and Shocks on my 95 GT. I bought the B springs. A buddy of mine has some KYB fox struts and shocks he no longer needs and they are brand new...can i use them? Also, will I need CC plates with the B springs?

When you lower a car you need cc plates period in order to do it the right way. Also look into a bumpsteer kit.

I always thought the sn95 shocks & struts would sit just a hair higher than a fox... or in your case fox on sn95 would sit more lower. Reason being my h&r springs fit 79-04 but had a diff drop height depending on which year. Makes sense doesn't it?

cc plates are not nessesary. my dads 95 cobra had h&r supersports and when he fractured his neck in a wreck, i installed his h&r's on my 88 gt and my gt's springs on his cobra and has les schwab align the front end. this was 3 years ago and havnt had 1 problem with uneven tire wear.

CC plates are strongly recommended, but Just because they make 'em doesn't mean you need 'em:

Wow...you guys respond quick. I posted a question about this on the tech section and only 1 person responded.

That is really helpful. I may have the ability to get CC plates from my buddy too, so I will do that. I will post some pics when I get the car done.

CC plates are never neccessary but definitely a good idea if you want to do it right. I would say its well worth the cost for the safety and better tire wear.

It depends how much the car is lowered. I have Eibach pros (1.5" drop) on my cobra, and no CC plates. My camber is within factory specs according to my alignment shop.
