I am going to lower my 97 Cobra vert. I want to use Ford Racing Springs.

Has anyone used M-5300-C, & whats the ride like. I will not be doing any racing, just street use (semi-daily driver in summer months).

Has anyone used the M-5300-G (convertible only)? This number looks like they are a little softer, with a little more drop.

I do not want to have to worry about tires rubbing, or every bump in the road scrapping. Just looking to eliminate some of the gap between fender and top of tire.

Any advice appreciated.

I'm using the "C" springs on my '86 'vert daily driver/part time A/X car. Nice front-down rake - might be a little too high in the back. Have to take some speed bumps slow. I'm using the old Monroe "GT" struts/shocks. Ride seems a little harsh with those. I like the H&R SSs with Bilsteins on the '01 Cobra 'Vert. Might switch to the Bilsteins on the '86.

Tokico springs and illuminas it has a little very little of that asian bounce and I have my shocks set at 4 in the front 3 in the rear. I have had them set a 2 at all 4 corners and the car rides awesome for cruising or long trips.

I don't know how you can lower it, my '03 vert bottoms out on speedbumps and stuff when I have more then two people in it. I don't think it could get much lower without breaking something. Then again, NJ roads are the worst. :notnice:

My car stock has never bottomed out. I only want to lower it a little. Don't want to look like ricer. 03 Cobras have bigger tires (275/40) in think. That may be why your car bottoms out, along with NJ roads.
