I have a 98 GT that i'm thinking of doing a complete exh system ie:headers to tails. I was wondering if its worth the effort of the LT's on my basically stock motor. Currently its got a BBK cold air kit and 75mm throttle body and 3.73 gears. Is there a major difference between LT's and shortties or is it minimal. I am planning on an off road pipe but my car has to go through emissions and i really don't want to buy cats on top of it, just do a quick swap with the original cats if i go with shortties. Also what is the best muffler choise that is price friendly. Should i go with tails or should i go with dumps. Overall i would like a mean sounding system that didn't cost me a small fortune. I appreciate everyones comments.

There are alot of Shorties vs LT's threads. And EVERY thread you will notice favor LT's. I would like to say it's just my opinion, but Shorties are just a waste of money. LT's are better for N/A as well as blown cars. do yourself a favor and go with the LT's. if you can't, spend that labor money that you would be wasting with the shorties and go with something else, good luck.
