LT's and CEL and tune questions...

ok, just got word from my dealer that my car will arrive in 2 weeks, i want to order the bassani long tube headers and their catted x pipe. the LT come with o2 extensions, if i simply use these do i have to use a tuner to deal with any possible CEL coming on? im not trying to retune the computer as of yet, as far as that goes does the computer even have to be retuned for headers? i mean its stilll the same amoutn of air going out b/c i am not touching the intake yet. its just leaving the engine faster. NY requires emissions inspections, thats why im using a catted x pipe.
ive done a seaarch, im just alittle cnfused on this matter.

get MIL eliminators. they just plug inline of you rear O2s. they are around $50.
